Located in the main lobby of the Terry Harris Judicial Complex 201 S. Tejon St., Colorado Springs, CO This mural depicting the cultural history of the people of Colorado and the dramatic landscape of this region was painted in vibrant, yet monochromatic colors. Five children of different ethnicities were chosen to represent the future of the diverse landscape of people in this colorful state. The individual colors of the children represent the diversity of their heritage and yet are all connected as colors of the rainbow come from one light. Each child’s history is painted on their clothing just as we all wear our own ancestry as it, in part, shapes who we are. |
